Mother's Day Poem

When you thought I wasn’t looking
When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw you making my favorite meal,
And I wanted to learn how to cook.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw you turn off my light at night while I was asleep,
And I wanted to start turning off my light before I go to sleep.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw you hang out the washing,
And I thought I could do that too.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw you waking up every few hours because of baby,
And I wished I could help.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I felt you give me a kiss at night,
And I felt touched and loved.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
                 I heard you get angry,
And I knew that everyone gets angry,
                      And it’s okay.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I could see you making sure that we’re safe
And you made me feel even more safe.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
                     I was looking…
Thank you for everything you do,
You make me feel safe and loved.
                 Love Mila XOXO

'What's in my head' Art

We have been doing some art in our class and it's called 'What's in my head' art.
For this art we traced the head of our shadow or we could draw our own head.
We then started to fill in our head with drawings, symbols and words that we normally have in our heads.
After that we did a background with pastels with a few colours of our choice and we made our own design of a pattern. Then we started to type some words on a doc, some negative things we think and some positive things we think. After we printed the word out and glued everything together.
This is my piece of artwork I did.

Sea Walls-Moment-in-time

In Room 5, we were thinking about community and we had done some learning on Caritas.

We had a few different images of climate change (flooding in Papua New Guinea) and did some moment in time writing with the images.
This my Moment time

White sand bags scattered, the sea wall that this village had made has been broken, the flood was too strong. The sea has calmed down and I can hear the splashes of waves against the tide. A man is there, wearing a yellow striped, black t-shirt with a white outline, with bright red shorts on. He is gazing at me with cold icy worried eyes, with a straight face. The creamy soft coloured sand, filled with rocks brushes against my feet. The sky blue sky overfilled with clouds. The wind whistling softly, the daylight sunlight is beaming against me. The washed up shells are covered in sand.

Digital Art (for christmas cards)

For this dove digital art we got to choose a christian image and then using contrast colours and shapes we got to create our own original design for our christmas cards.

Digital Art (Silhouette)

We did some learning in contrast colours in room 5 and so we did a silhouette digital art with four contrast colours in the background.

Conservation Week 2016

Since it was Conservation Week, we did a padlet based on what we already knew. Then we learnt what it meant so we were told to get into groups and then create a presentation. I was working with Mikayla and Maranita. After we did a new padlet of what we have learnt. We all enjoyed making this and hope you enjoy.
